ABOUT US
The Rectory Society is an organisation formed in 2006 for those interested in some our country's greatest respositories of architectural, social, cultural and religious history - rectories and vicarages.
Our aims are to:
1) Advance public knowledge of them and arrange member visits to them
2) Encourage the greater use of these buildings to serve the community,
and the exchange of information of how best this can be done
3) Build up a database of information, photographs etc., and, in time, to become
a full national inventory
4) Create a local member network to exchange knowledge and advice
about the practical problems involved in the care of these buildings.
5) Publish materials on relevant aspects of the buildings and maintain a
website for similar purposes
